Welcome to First Baptist Church Plainfield!


Whether you have visited us before or have never contacted us, we are so glad you are here. 


We have made it easy for newcomers to find their way into First Baptist, as well as finding their way around the church. As you park in our newly updated parking lot, you will find the words "Main Entrance" above the door you will enter. As you enter through the "Main Entrance," you will find what we call our Connection Hub. Our Connection Hub is staffed before, during, and after both worship services with friendly people trained to answer questions and direct our church guests to where they would like to be.

We have two worship services every Sunday, each with a Bible-based message from senior pastor Rev. John Marshall.

The 9:00 a.m. traditional service features blended music with traditional hymns.  

The 10:30 a.m. service features contemporary music with a full band.

What do you believe?

Where is the church? 

Our address is 1012 Stafford Road in Plainfield, IN. You might know us as the church next to the library or the church just up the hill from Plainfield Middle School.  


Where should I park? 

We have one large parking lot on the north side of the church. You will enter the parking lot from Simmons Street. 


What door do I enter the church from?

We encourage you to use the doors labeled "Main Entrance." The main entrance faces the parking lot and is easily visible. You will find a friendly and helpful greeter awaiting your arrival, and our greeters will help direct to the ministry you are looking for. 


What do I wear? 

You will feel at home in whatever style of dress you feel comfortable wearing. People tend to dress up more in the first service, while casual clothes are more common in the second service.


What is the difference between the "Inspiration Service" and the "Celebration Service"? 

Both services have great people seeking to discover what it looks like to be passionate followers of Jesus. You will enjoy the Inspiration Service at 9:00 a.m. if you like a blend of traditional hymns with well known choruses. The Celebration Service at 10:30 a.m. is a little louder, as we sing modern praise songs with a full praise band. The Pastor's message is the same in both services. 


How often do you take communion? 

We take communion on the first Sunday of the month.
